This project is a complete build up of a 1972 Heavy Chevy Chevelle. It has been completely restored by Todd McCutchen of Atoka, TN. The factory color and interior are included in the restoration. The factory bench seat and column shifter are two of the stock features. It will appear completely stock on the interior with the exception of a roll cage, however it will contain all of the necessary electronic operations of a race car, all of which features will be hidden to the unsuspecting spectator. It will also weigh close to 3800 lbs. This page contains a few photos of what has been done so far and are a supplement to the feature article in the July '04 issue of CHEVY HIGH PERFORMANCE Magazine. KT
Here's a glimps of the freshly restored body that was painted the original color "Mohabi Gold".
This view of the trunk area shows the Jaz 22 gallon fuel cell, Magnaflow fuel pump, battery tray and Flaming River master cut-off switch.
This view shows the master cut-off switch activated by a push-pull rod that extends through the factory bumper jack hole.
A view from down low, the cage was installed as snug as possible to the roof and effort was made to follow all contours as close as possible.
The interior will look completely stock except for the cage. Electronic info is on page 3 and 4. Note the forward cage support that ties to the front of the frame.
Stock Appearance......Super Stock Performance is the goal.
